Helen Xenidis – Speaker
I speak as the woman a few chapters ahead.
Not because I have all the answers.
Because I’ve lived long enough to ask better questions.
I speak to women who feel the shift. The quiet nudge.
The moment when something inside says there has to be more than this.
As the founder of Once Upon A Woman – Her Story, I’ve built rooms where women tell the truth. About ambition. About love. About aging. About the roles we stepped into without realizing we had a choice.
I am an award-winning public speaker with 35 years of experience in the professional business world. I understand the expectations, the pressure, and the balancing act women navigate because I have lived it myself.
More importantly, I am a woman who has moved through her own midlife evolution. I know what it feels like to outgrow a version of yourself, to question what once felt certain, and to choose again with more clarity and less apology.
I don’t deliver motivational fluff.
I start conversations that stay with you.

Speaking Topics:
Busting the Fairytale
This is where I show up as the aunt you wish you had. The one who has lived a little, lost a little, built a little. The one who loves you enough to widen your lens. We are handed a script early. Work hard. Be chosen. Be grateful. Be desirable. Be accomplished. Keep everyone comfortable. No one really asks if that script fits you. In this talk, we unpack the quiet rules women absorb without noticing. The timelines we assume are fixed. The expectations we carry like they are facts. I don’t tell women what to do. I ask better questions. Is this what you want? Or is this what you were taught to want? It is perspective without preaching. Honesty without shame. And yes, we laugh.
Midlife Isn’t a Crisis
At some point, the noise quiets down just enough for you to hear yourself. That can feel unsettling. This talk is about that moment. When you start questioning roles you have played well. When success does not feel as satisfying. When you realize you want something different but cannot yet name it. Midlife is not a breakdown. It is often the beginning of power. We talk about identity, reinvention, ambition, grief, and the courage it takes to choose again.
Aging Out Loud
We live in a culture that quietly tells women to shrink as they get older. I believe the opposite. This conversation challenges the fear around aging and explores what confidence, leadership, relevance, and influence can look like when you stop apologizing for your experience. Aging is not something to manage. It is something to grow into.
