Back in 2009, I experienced a midlife awakening—yes, it's a real thing! 

This transformative journey set me on a path of self-discovery, and it’s been a wild ride ever since. It ignited a deep passion within me to help women of all ages find their voices and speak their truths. I want to empower women to embrace their growing intuition and explore who they truly are.

 

There's a Marianne Williamson quote that beautifully encapsulates my journey and the journey I wish for all women:

 

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

 

This inspiration led me to create Once Upon A Woman - Her Story, a space designed to bring women of all ages and backgrounds together to share and celebrate our stories. To build connections and community through our shared experiences. It’s been truly amazing to witness the strength we find in being open and vulnerable with one another. Together, we’re creating a community where our voices are heard, and our experiences are honoured.
